I chose the VOYAH Taishan MAX+ for my new car, all out of my long-term trust in VOYAH.
I have driven Dongfeng vehicles for a full decade, starting with Dongfeng Aeolus and later the VOYAH FREE. They feature solid chassis and outstanding durability. Over the years, my cars have never been to a repair shop except for routine maintenance. I’m not saying Dongfeng vehicles are perfect, but they give me peace of mind — I never worry about the car breaking down and leaving me stranded on the road. This trust has been built over 100,000 kilometres of real driving.
Earlier this year, my wife had our second baby. With a bigger family, I needed a reliable large 6-seater SUV with a comfortable chassis. Without much hesitation, I stuck with VOYAH and picked the Taishan MAX+.
I’ve driven over 3,000 km since taking delivery, covering highways, national roads and rough under-construction sections. The chassis retains that familiar solid feel. It absorbs speed bumps smoothly without harsh jolts or sway. Equipped with three-chamber air suspension, the car stays tight and composed on rough roads, instead of feeling overly soft and floppy.
The second-row zero-gravity seats with extendable leg rests keep my parents comfortable even on long trips, so I can take the whole family travelling further.
What I value most is its PHEV powertrain. I used to have range anxiety. Pure electric mode fully covers my daily city commute. For long-distance journeys, it runs on hybrid power. Simply fill up the fuel tank and go, no need to spend time planning charging stops ahead of trips.
